Are Organics ONLY for White People?

I know what ya'll are thinking!!! Oh No she didn't. This topic came up for me today while debating on if I should replace the peanut butter at the house with Whole Foods crunch peanut butter or Organics brand crunch peanut butter; as my housemate buys ALL organic. And yes...he's Caucasian. lol.

Since embarking on my juicing journey; he's shared with me the importance of buying ONLY organic fruits and veggies for the juicing. In order for me to Grow and expand my life condition, I know I have to be open and coachable. I questioned nothing and did what the man said. All the while, not allowing my budget to deter my desire to be healthy and more fit. So, I've been buying Organic kale, chard, lemons, apples, celery, ginger; as well as peanut butter from the Santa Monica Co-Op. I have to tell you, I notice the difference in the fruit. I can actually smell the lemon and the apples. While buying a few organic lemons from Whole Foods today; that cost $.99 each, the cashier at checkout said, "Oh my goodness, do you smell that?" Smell what I lamented? "The lemons", she said. "They smell soo good". And they did.

Additionally, while doing my research on how WE can prevent and/or cure cancer, It's been confirmed to me me the reason why It's important to include organics into your weekly or monthly shopping regime. Now don't go all haywire on me. I didn't say to eat ONLY organics; however, try it for yourself. See this is the deal with OUR soil:

. Toxicity starts in the soil and in he plants that grow in; via poisonous pesticides, fungicides, herbicides and other chemicals used in COMMERCIAL agriculture
. These pesticides permeate our produce in such a way, that it can't be removed simply by washing the leaves
. Unless we eat organically grown foods, our intake is primarily poisoned, toxic and artificial

Now, do I think Organic foods are ONLY for White people? Hell to the naw. I think WE think ONLY white people can afford to eat organic grown food. This is partly true and partly and illusion. However, I have only personally met a small handful of black people or African-American's and Latinos who eat organically grown food; however, They...We are out there. Organics are for ALL people; however, more importantly, it's the conscious people who are eating organics more than ANY people. Or, it's the people who are ill and decide to allow their bodies to do what it naturally wants to do; which is heal itself form the inside out with the right foods. We have to wake up, be accountable to our own health and wellness. And, we have to do our homework or at least stay open to it.

Lastly, there has been an ever increasing use of artificial fertilizers used in our soil; which only provide the soil with (3) out of approximately (5) minerals; which are:
. Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.
This artificial crap isn't providing our soil with the other healthy minerals, trace elements needed to keep OUR soil fertile, healthy and loaded with enzymes.

What do WE need to do? For starters, stop thinking WE can't afford organic foods. Change our belief system. Check out your local farmers markets. Look into joining a local Co-Op, if you have one in your hood. If not, create a small Co-Op with a few of your conscious friends. Lastly...but not least, make more money so you can afford to eat ALL organic. (LOL) That, for now, is my solution in addition to eating less food and drinking more of my foods in the way of juicing and meal replacement shakes that have the nutrients that I know my body needs to keep it looking and feeling the part.
